How to Write an Intro Note That Showcases Your Best Self

You’ve been selected among a small group of candidates as a high match for a position through Basecamp Match. Leverage that connection by sending a short note to the hiring manager letting them know why you are a fit! Then, apply via the listing’s job link. 

Here are some tips for writing your intro note. In a few sentences, tell the hiring manager:

Why you are interested in the brand or company (1 sentence)
Why you are interested in the specific job (1 sentence)
What makes you qualified to do the job — reference two of the job description’s skills that qualify you (1 sentence)

And remember, just because you don’t have all of the skills in the job description doesn’t mean you aren’t highly qualified! Apply anyway.
